Does GutOptim Contain Aloe Vera and Bentonite Clay?
Yes. Bentonite clay is on all three GutOptim ingredient lists, and aloe vera is on the printed Supplement Facts panel, though not in the supplier’s list of six. No amount is published for either. The panel prints one blend total of 1.5 g for two capsules. No trial of the finished capsule exists.
- Bentonite clay appears on the supplier’s six, the seller’s nine and the panel’s ten.
- Aloe Vera (Leaf) is on the printed panel and the seller’s nine, but not in the supplier’s six.
- The panel prints one blend total of 1.5 g for two capsules and no amount for any single ingredient.
- No laboratory report is published for lot GUT-26/GE-5057.
- Soluble fibre can slow how much of an oral medicine is absorbed, so ask your prescriber about a gap.
- The label excludes anyone under 18 and anyone pregnant or nursing.
Is aloe vera really in the GutOptim capsule?
Yes, on the printed panel. Aloe Vera (Leaf) is the seventh name in the Supplement Facts list. It sits there because the panel lists ten ingredients, and the seller’s page prints nine that include aloe.
The supplier’s own pack is different. It names six ingredients, and aloe is not among them. This website states the six, because the supplier’s pack governs what we write. So the honest line is this: aloe is on the bottle’s panel, and it is not in the supplier’s short list.
| List | Aloe vera | Bentonite clay |
|---|---|---|
| Supplier’s pack (six names) | Not named | Named |
| Seller’s sales page (nine names) | Named | Named, listed first |
| Printed Supplement Facts panel (ten names) | Named: Aloe Vera (Leaf) | Named, second on the panel |

How much aloe vera is in each capsule?
That is not published. The panel prints one figure: a Proprietary Blend of 1.5 g for two capsules, with the Daily Value not established. There is no milligram figure for aloe, for bentonite clay or for anything else in the blend.
A blend total tells you the weight of everything together. It does not split it. Aloe could be a large share or a tiny one, and the label gives no way to tell. We would rather say “unknown” than guess.
What does research say about aloe vera?
There is research, and it was not done on this capsule. One systematic review and meta-analysis, listed in the sources below, has a title that calls aloe vera effective and safe in short-term treatment of irritable bowel syndrome. That is the title of a paper, not a claim about GutOptim.
We do not know what form of aloe those trials used, or how much. We also do not know the amount in GutOptim. So the finding cannot be carried over to the bottle. GutOptim is not a treatment for any digestive disease, and this website does not say it is.
The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health has a page titled Aloe Vera: Usefulness and Safety. It is the right place to read about aloe in general, including cautions. Read it before you decide whether aloe in any product suits you.
What is bentonite clay doing in the same blend?
Bentonite clay is the second name on the panel. It is a mined mineral clay, listed by the supplier as an aluminium phyllosilicate clay. It is in all three ingredient lists, so there is no disagreement about it.
Here is the part that deserves a plain word. A Dutch survey of clays sold for oral use measured lead, arsenic, mercury and cadmium and estimated the risks. The FDA has also warned consumers about one bentonite clay product. Neither of these studied GutOptim. They are the reason a buyer should want a laboratory report for the lot.
For this lot, GUT-26/GE-5057, no laboratory report is published. The supplier calls the lot and the certificate reference, GUT-5057-26-GE, draft labels. A lot code says which production run a bottle came from. It is not a purity test and not a potency test.
Do aloe vera and bentonite clay work together?
We cannot say. The search term “aloe vera and bentonite clay” shows that people wonder about the pair. The sources behind this website contain no study of the two together, and none of this capsule.
What we can say is how they are packaged. They share one blend, in one gelatin capsule, with psyllium, black walnut hull, oat bran, flaxseed, plum, a Lactobacillus acidophilus line, apple pectin and konjac glucomannan. Other ingredients are gelatin, magnesium stearate and silicon dioxide.
Who should be careful with these ingredients?
The label excludes anyone under 18 and anyone pregnant or nursing. It asks you to consult a physician before use if you take a medication or have a medical condition. That matters here, because soluble fibre in the blend can slow or reduce how much of an oral medicine is absorbed. The usual answer is a gap between the two, and your prescriber or pharmacist decides how long.
The panel also prints Contains Tree Nuts (Walnuts), because black walnut hull is in the blend. Take at least a full glass of liquid with the capsules, and do not take them if you have difficulty swallowing.
Frequently asked questions
Does GutOptim contain aloe vera?
Yes, on the printed Supplement Facts panel, listed as Aloe Vera (Leaf). The supplier's own list of six does not name it. No amount is published.

Not published. The panel prints one blend total of 1.5 g for two capsules and no figure for aloe or any other single ingredient.

No. It is a dietary supplement. It is not a drug, not FDA approved, and not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
Our view
Aloe and bentonite clay are both on the bottle, and that much is settled. How much of each is in a capsule is not, and we will not guess. The research we can point to was done on other products, at amounts GutOptim does not publish.
We sell GutOptim and earn on orders, so keep that in mind. If these two names matter to you, ask for the lot paperwork before you start, and talk to your doctor if you take any medicine or have a condition.
GutOptim is a dietary supplement. It is not a drug, and it is not FDA approved. No supplement is. These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist about any medical question.
